Just a couple of months ago, Immortals’ CS:GO team had a very good period in the competition as they managed to reach the grand finals of the last Major CS:GO tournament. At that moment, many believed that Immortals have become a respectable name in the world of CS:GO and that they will be able to put on a good resistance against some of the world’s best teams such as SK Gaming, Astralis, FaZe Clan, and others.
However, things did not go according to plans as immediately after the final match, reports indicated that there are big problems in the team as they were preparing for the next season.
Troubles in Paradise
Following their achievements in the last couple of months, it looked like Immortals might have a very good season that started a couple of weeks ago ahead of them. However, after the first couple of weeks of the new season, it became clear that Immortals are having huge problems with their players. According to the reports, the biggest problem in the team was Vito ‘kNg’ Giuseppe.
It did not take a long time for the team’s management to react to the problems apparently caused by that player. Soon, they announced that kNg will be leaving the team which was not that big of a surprise as kNg seems to have created a lot of troubles in the team. However, his departure created more problems for the team as it was reported that HEN1 and LUCAS1 would rather play with kNg in some other team than with the rest of the players in Immortals’ team.
Because of that, Immortals were in really big problems as it seemed that their entire team is about to break up. The team management did not react quickly to those reports as they wanted to make sure that they are doing the right thing for their team.
Three Open Slots
A couple of days ago, the team management announced that HEN1 and LUCAS1 will not be leaving the team, at least for now. However, that does not mean that they will be active members of the team as they have been benched for the undisclosed amount of time. With that announcement, it became clear that Immortals now have three open slots in their team and they will be looking for new players to fill in those slots.
However, troubles did not end there for Teles twins as the team has announced that each player from the team has been fined the amount of their monthly salary. Besides that, the team management has also announced that their players have also been fined a share of the prize pool winnings that the team won in Montreal last week. With these fines, the team management emphasized to all players that they will not be tolerating any kind of behavior that affects the team or the image of the team.
The troubles for Immortals started in Montreal when the players were late for their final match. This is not the first time that this has happened and there were serious accusations that the players came to the final match drunk. However, those accusations were not confirmed but if they turn out to be true, Valve might also have something to say about that issue.
