In the world of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive competitions, Brazilian eSports organization, Immortals, has been one of the most successful ones. Their recent results are far from their best form as they have been struggling with the final stages of the competitions. It became apparent that Immortals play initial stages of the tournaments very well, but when those tournaments reach the closing stages, Immortals seem just to disappear.
Because of that, Immortals have announced that their player Lincoln ‘fnx’ Lau has been benched in the team and that they will be looking for a player to replace him. Immortals did not want to rush with selecting a new player, and that is way their coach, Rafael ‘zakk’ Fernandes has stepped in to play at the position in which fnx was playing before being benched.
Bad results were not the only reasons why Immortals decided to bench fnx was also motivated by the team’s wish to create a healthier and more efficient environment for other players in the team. Because of that, it seems that the atmosphere in the team has not been good and the entire blame was put on fnx as he will be the only to suffer consequences.
Today, Immortals have announced that Vito ‘kNg’ Giuseppe has joined the team on a trial basis and that he will be playing with the team in the upcoming period. Immortals are looking for a permanent solution for that position and kNg proves good he will inevitably become a permanent member of Immortals.
kNg’s CS history
Vito ‘kNg’ Giuseppe is no stranger when it comes to the Counter-Strike competitions as he had a very good career back in the time when Counter-Strike 1.6 was played. Over his career, he managed to win titles at a couple of smaller competitions, but he is also an experienced Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player as he has already played with another member of team Immortals.
Back in 2016, kNg and Lucas ‘Steel’ Lopes have played for the team, g3x but he has not participated in any significant tournaments in either edition of CS competitions. Before joining Immortals, kNg has been playing for Red Reserve where he remained for less than three months. During his time in Red Reserve, kNg proved that he has a very good consistency of his play and his skills have proven to be the best with the AWP.
The upcoming period and tournaments will show whether or not Vigo ‘kNg’ Guiseppe will be the good and efficient solution for Immortals. With the addition of kNg to the team, Immortals’ Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team is currently featuring Lucas ‘Lucas’ Teles, Ricardo ‘Boltz’ Prass, Henrique ‘HEN1’ Teles and Lucas ‘Steel’ Lopes.
Without a doubt, kNg is experienced player, and his previous experiences will help him during his time in Immortals, but for the team, the big problem might be the fact that kNg has not participated any big tournaments so far. Immortals have huge expectations to fulfill as they are said to be one of the world’s best Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams together with FaZe Clan and Astralis.
