Recently a lot of rumors have been going around about the possibility of Fnx leaving the roster of Immortals. On 15 May Immortals made this rumor a reality when they removed Fnx from their current active roster.
Fnx played for Immortals for the past 3 months but confirmed by his organization he was kicked not for his performance as a player but for internal issues. Fnx previously played for the SK Gaming roster but was also removed for internal issues within the team and was later picked up by the Immortals organization.
It didn’t come as a surprise for many, not so long ago Immortals played the Subaru Invitational with their coach Zakk where they lost to SK Gaming in a semi-final losing 2-0. With Fnx not playing at this event many speculations went around the community about fnx being kicked and this eventually became reality for the player.
Immortal’s Press Release
Immortals released a public statement on their Facebook page saying that they’ve been working very hard on reaching the next stage in competitive CS:GO. As an organization they want to keep their focus on reaching the highest possible and building a long-term foundation for success. However on their tracks towards this goal they are facing various issues. One of the biggest issues that they have been having to deal with their way to achieving this goal is internal issues within the team. Unfortunately this also affected their players performances and it had to change before it would go out of control. Immortals will do anything to keep the healthy atmosphere that they’ve created for the team and they had to step in here to make changes. For this very reason they have decided to bench Fnx. Immortals is accepting trade offers from other teams for the player and will be looking for a permanent replacement for Fnx to fit their roster. Right now Immortals will be playing with their coach Zakk as their replacement for Fnx.
Fnx and internal issues
With Fnx being benched as well as being open for trades Immortals has made a clear statement that Fnx is no longer welcome in the organization. While doing this they also created a profile for Fnx as being a very toxic player in their organization. This could lead to him being refused by other organizations. In the past Fnx was removed from SK Gaming and later on various interviews and articles led to the reason of the removal being internal issues and toxic behaviors towards fellow teammates. We have to see if Fnx will be offered a chance in another team. With the current situation the chances have turned very slim even for a player of his level and experience. Immortals will be actively looking for a player to step in his place and might shine light on a new talent in the Brazilian CS:GO competitive scene.
While Immortals is looking out for a new fifth to fit their roster this is what their current line-up looks like:
– Zakk (coach) (current stand-in)
– fnx (benched & open for trades)
