EU LCS Playoffs: Unicorns of Love Defeat Misfits

EU LCS Playoffs Unicorns of Love Defeat Misfits

When it comes to the current League of Legends eSports competition, one of the most interesting competitions currently is the EU League Championship Series in which teams from Europe have played semi-final matches. Earlier, G2 Esports managed to defeat Fnatic and advanced to the final. In the second semi-final, the stage was set for the clash between Unicorns of Love and Misfits that will decide the team that will be going against G2 Esports for the title. Unicorns of Love managed to eliminate Misfits from the EU LCS Playoffs, but that was not an easy job as Misfits had their opportunities that they failed to use. However, the match between these two teams featured a lot of moments that will be talked about in the future period and players from Unicorns of Love have created those moments the most.

Unicorns of Love best moments

One of those moments occurred in the game one of the semi-final match when Andrei ‘Xerxe’ Dragomir from Unicorns of Love successfully stole the Baron and because of that Unicorns of Love eventually won the game one. However, the second game proved to be much tougher for Unicorns of Love as Misfits were gaining an advantage in the first part of the game. At one point in game two, it looked like that Misfits will win that game but with the series of amazing team fights played by Unicorns of Love, Misfits totally collapsed in that game which enabled their opponents to claim the win in the second game as well. In the game three, which was Unicorns of Love’s first opportunity to seal the deal and to eliminate Misfits, Unicorns of Love attempted to secure the win by using very aggressive play, but that turned out not to be very useful as Misfits resisted all attacks and they eventually won the third game.

However, in the game four, Misfits were not able to do the same, and with Unicorns of Love’s moves including plays on Rumble and Jhin, all that Misfits could do was to watch what was happening as Unicorns of Love were winning the game four and the opportunity to win the title in the final. This split is not over yet for Misfits because they will be playing against Fnatic in a match for the third place while Unicorns of Love will be facing G2 Esports in the final.

However, that will be a very hard match for Unicorns of Love because anyone who is familiar with League of Legends scene in Europe knows that G2 eSports is probably the best LoL team from Europe that has ever competed in this competition. However, Fnatic managed to win an opening game against G2 eSports which proved that they too can lose a match. However, in the end, it was G2 eSports once again that claim another win and yet another opportunity for winning the title. Even though Unicorns of Love have the potential for something big, their bad luck is that they will be playing G2 eSports and it seems that they will have to wait for another opportunity to fulfill their potential.
