ESL UK Spring Season Hearthstone Premiership Started

ESL UK has announced that the UK’s Spring Season Hearthstone Premiership has started and that 16 players will be competing for the upcoming seven weeks for the title at this event as well as for the prize pool of $6,500. The final match of this championship will be played on May 27th at the London’s MCM Comic-Con which will feature a huge number of esports fans attending the event. Unlike last year’s event, the organizers have decided that this year’s UK’s Spring Season Hearthstone Premiership will feature more players in order to make the tournament even more interesting than before.

More Players And More Fun At ESL UK Spring Season Premiership

This year, 16 players will be competing for the title and unlike some of the previous years, the UK’s Spring Season Hearthstone Premiership promises to be one of the most interesting Hearthstone competitions in Europe. Even though the number of players has been doubled for this year’s event, there will still be some very familiar players that will attend this tournament. According to the statement from the ESL UK’s officials, last year’s tournament was considered to be the best in a long while but the expectations for this year’s tournament are even higher mostly because of the number of players who will be fighting for the title. According to the same statement, the organizers are expecting each of the planned seven weeks of the tournament to be full of excitement and great play, and they are inviting all the Hearthstone fans from London and other areas to join them at this tournament.

During the last year’s split final, four players have already secured their places at this tournament which meant that other twelve players had to go through the open and closed qualifiers in order to reach the main event of the tournament. The four players that secured their spots at the last year’s split finals are BoarControl, Mysterious, Jambre, and HelloLeeroy. After the long process of open and then closed qualifiers, twelve other players will be joining the previously mentioned four and those players are xl3en, FalconeHS, ItsPieManHD, Greensheep, Tingting52, Ness, Danswf, Osha, Helixfossil89, Cipher, Duncan, and JimmyJMG.

Interestingly, the new patch called Journey to Un’Goro will be coming during this season, and it will arrive somewhere around the middle of the season. Because of that, many players are preparing for that patch, and it is no wonder that many believe that the upcoming patch will have a huge role at this and many other tournaments that will be played in the upcoming period. Considering that players will have to adapt to the new patch in the midst of the game, it will be interesting to see which player will react the best because that reaction might be crucial for those players who want to win the title at this and many other tournaments.

The Spring Split that started on March 27th will be hugely affected by this patch because it will make some other cards less available for the players just like cards such as Blackrock Mountain, The Grand Tournament, and League of Explorers have been put out of commission. For those fans who are not able to attend the main event, the UK’s Spring Season Hearthstone Premiership will be streamed on the official ESL Hearthstone Twitch Channel.
