Clayster Puts an End to the Rumors About his Future

Vedran Ostojic | June 13, 2017 | Call of Duty | No Comments

The last couple of weeks have been very interesting when it comes to the players who might be changing the team for the upcoming CWL Anaheim Open. Even though there is less than ten days before the start of the CWL Anaheim, several teams are now considering changing their rosters.

Everything started when Peirce ‘Gunless’ Hillman decided that he will no longer play for eUnited and that he wants to leave the team in order to join some other team. According to his words, the reason for that was the fact that he just could not see himself achieving better results with eUnited.

However, the way in which Gunless did that caused the biggest controversy. Weeks before Gunless demanded from the team to be released, he has been negotiating with other teams without eUnited’s knowledge about those negotiations. In that situation, the team decided to keep Gunless to his contract which caused Gunless to bench himself in the team. At this moment, Gunless will not be traveling with eUnited to CWL Anaheim Open next week.

Rumors

After the problems between eUnited and Gunless were revealed, the team started looking for the replacement as they were looking through the offers from other teams for Gunless. According to some source, eUnited has been very close to signing James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks while Gunless would be replacing Clayster in FaZe Clan.

However, since the deadline for locking down rosters for CWL Anaheim Open was June 5th, this player exchange between eUnited and FaZe Clan could not go through. In one of the interviews that Prestinni game on this topic he mentioned that eUnited are very interested in signing Clayster which caused panic among FaZe Clan fans.

It did not take long for James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks to speak his mind about the given issue while he was answering questions during his stream. When asked about his future in FaZe, Clayster said that he is still playing for FaZe Clan and that he will continue to do so but he also stated that the does not want to talk about it anymore.

Despite him denying the move to eUnited, many fans are worried about his refusal to speak about this issue, and they believe that he will be leaving the team as soon as CWL Anaheim Open finishes.

Final Thoughts

Peirce ‘Gunless’ Hillman is perhaps one of the most talented young Call of Duty players in the world but what he did is a mark that he will be carrying during his entire season. The problem was not the fact that the wanted to leave the team as he is not the first or the last with those wishes.

The biggest problem is his relation with teammates and the management as well as the lack of gratitude towards the organization that enabled him to get to this place. Besides that, his moves had repercussions on many other people involved in the Call of Duty world and it is still not over as there will be more news about this issue with the start of this week as teams head to Anaheim for the tournament.

For Clayster, this issue has created problems that he did not want, and it is still not clear whether or not those problems have past or they will reappear after CWL Anaheim Open 2017.
